Travel writing is never as easy as people think. Behind the words are 3:30AM calls to get a sunrise shot… prayers that herds of Sacred Cow or Cape Buffalo cross your path without malice … arrays of “traditional” food waiting to test tolerance.

Some Travel Advice: Research before leaving. Respect customs, dress, and demeanor. Question in non-judgmental ways. Never assume ours is the best way: A camel gets across a desert with less maintenance than a jeep.

Listen to even the simplest voice, more times than not, it is the revelation. It’s a big world.
